After downloading this file to your computer, extract the file into the desired installation location. For example, to install to the /opt directory:

gunzip bg-3_2_1.tar.gz
tar -xvfC bg-3_2_1.tar /opt

An existing Java 1.6 Runtime Environment or later is required. If you do not have a compatible version of Java, you may download one for free from java.com. Java must be in your path, otherwise, the startup script for B*Gallery (<install_dir>/bin/startup.sh) must be modified to include the full path to the Java executable.

Macintosh OS X Downloads

In order to deliver the best experience possible, B*Gallery uses Java 6, which was released for Windows and Linux in late 2006. Unfortunately, Apple has only released Java 6 for 64-bit Intel machines running Leopard, therefore we are currently unable to offer B*Gallery packaged for OS X. Some users have had luck using our Linux release along with SoyLatte, although the Aqua inteface is lost using this method.
